Greenbrier Resort excited to host Saints Training Camp

White Sulphur Springs, WV - Training camp is an exciting time of the year for NFL teams all over and the Saints are no different, but this season, they have a different setting.

The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia has worked around the clock since the team announced they'd be taking their summer practices on the round and the finish product has resort president Jeff Kmiec eager to showcase his product "It was dirt before so it was a Herculean task and it took an incredible amount of resources to build for brand new three football fields and this brand new 5,000-square foot, state of the art, Advocare Performance Center and so from the resort's perspective, it's amazing what's been accomplished in four short months.  People that have been driving past and seeing work going on 24 hours a day have been amazed at what's been able to be accomplished but we knew the date that it had to be done by and failure wasn't an option so here we are today getting ready to welcome the Saints."

Kmiec is expecting a few thousand Saints fans to be in attendance and while the resort hosts a PGA Tour event every year, he understands that NFL fans, particularly Saints fans, are a little different "Well, I'm assuming they don't have a golf clap so it'll be a different crowd than what the PGA tour brings but we're familiar with Who Dat and we're familiar with the Who Dat Nation so we're excited to have them here as well."

The team will undergo conditioning tests Thursday before their first practice Friday morning.

St. Paul's is the gold standard for soccer in our state. They've won four state titles in a row, and anything less than a fifth appears unacceptable in Covington. "It's very intimidating, very stressful. Because there's so much pressure on every game," said senior captain Mason Robichaux. "The history we have at this school.
