Motion filed to expedite hearing for alleged Bourbon St. shooter

The alleged Bourbon Street shooter's attorney wants to speed up his client's preliminary hearing.

Martin Reagan filed a motion in court on Thursday to expedite the hearing for Trung Le.

Le, 20, remains in jail without bond charged with one count of first degree murder in connection with the death of Brittany Thomas. He also faces attempted first-degree murder charges, accused of wounding nine others.

Police are still searching for a second suspect in the case.

A hearing is scheduled for Friday morning at 10 a.m.
