Police search for missing man, 70, with dementia

New Orleans police are searching for a missing 70-year-old man diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia.

Warren Matthews, 70, was last seen Thursday morning by his daughter. The daughter states that when she returned home from work at 6 p.m., her father was not home.

He was last seen at his home in the 200 block of S. Gayoso Street.

Police say that Matthews has been diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia and often loses his sense of direction.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a purple shirt and a white hat.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 504-658-6010 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
