New Orleans police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a man's dog at gunpoint.

Officers are searching for 35-year-old David Lewis.

Lewis went to a home in the 2800 block of Philip Street Saturday to collect money he was believed to be owed, police say.

When the victim said he did not have any cash, police say Lewis pointed a gun at the victim and took his bull dog.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (504) 822-1111.
