HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

News of the rising death toll in Africa due to the Ebola outbreak has hit close to home for some missionary groups..

A number of those groups frequently travel to Africa, and some are still there.

Missionaries in the Tennessee Valley area said while they worry for their colleagues coming home, some also worry about going back to the virus-stricken areas.

Alize Binns has gone on several medical missionary trips to Africa with Medical Missionary Movement International, and she is worried about some of her friends currently there.

"Right now, I don't see us going back there," she said.

Jill Winsett, in contrast, is not one of those concerned. She said she knows and teaches the secret to healthy lving.

"When you use food as medicine, your immune system builds," Winsett said. "You're not nearly as afraid to travel to help people when you're in helpful condition."

Part of Winsett's missionary work is spreading knowledge on how to use different herbs to fight illnesses.

"With Ebola, the way we see it is: Disease is disease and we have a protocol that treats all disease," she said. "The work is spreading there, and so more and more people will understand what to do naturally."

Dr. Richard Spera, a physican with expertise in the treatment of infectious disease, said you should not travel to areas of Africa dealing with the Ebola crisis, and that you should check with the Centers for Disease Control before traveling internationally to make sure there are no health risks.

If the Saints went winless after three games, their playoff hopes were almost down to zero. So the Black and Gold responded with a huge win on the road, keeping postseason thoughts clearly in focus after a 34-13 win. "There is that sense of urgency. Often times in our league those are important things to know. I think we had a good week of practice. We had some good things early on happen.
