Tom Benson, the owner of the New Orleans Saints, has been hospitalized in West Virginia.
Benson was taken to the hospital to receive oxygen during practice Tuesday morning. According to a Saints spokesperson, Benson needed oxygen due to the altitude.
The Saints released this statement about the condition of Benson:
"This morning, Mr. Benson left practice after not feeling well due to symptoms related to the altitude here in West Virginia. He was transported to a local hospital in Lewisberg, WV and was given a series of tests, of which, doctors did not find any issues or complications. He was treated with oxygen and has been released. He is doing great and was under the care of team physician John Amoss the entire time. Mr. and Mrs. Benson thank all of those that have reached out."
The Saints state that Benson is expected to make a full recovery.
