Documentary: A Coast in Crisis

Each year, Louisiana loses 25-35 square miles of its coast, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Since 1932, the state has shed 1,900 square miles, or an area the size of Delaware.

This half-hour special report details the greatest coastal land loss in the lower 48 states. It goes beyond describing the reasons for the loss, to detail the battle for limited resources and the increasingly bitter fight over what methods to choose to attempt restoration.
