NORTH SALT LAKE, UT (KUTV/CNN) - A slow-moving landslide in Utah has forced dozens of people out of their homes.

The damage to one home in particular has been devastating.

Four houses are said to be in immediate danger, and 27 homes have been evacuated as a precaution.

Neighbors say the problem started more than a week ago, when developers started prepping lots at the top of the hill.

A woman staying in a home, Monday night, says officials told the family they'd be fine.

"People knew we weren't fine. People that have experienced landslides know what's happening," the woman said.

Crews are moving soil around, trying to relieve the pressure along the hillside.

They have also used equipment to channel water in preparation for heavy rainfall.
