Police investigating a suspected drug dealer in Little Woods found evidence of a dog-fighting ring, according to a New Orleans Police Department news release.
Thursday just after 8 a.m., the Seventh District General Assignment Unit and investigators with the LA/SPCA arrested 40-year-old Milton Campbell. Police seized eight pounds of marijuana, narcotics packaging materials and $ 4,618.00 in cash from his home on Star Street. They also removed five chained pit bulls,
Campbell was booked with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, relative to keeping confined dogs and dog fighting.
Campbell has previous arrests for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, criminal damage to property, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
Campbell remain jailed at Orleans Parish Prison.
