CHALMETTE, LA (WVUE) - An autopsy conducted on the body of a man found in a ditch Thursday revealed no trauma and could not determine a cause of death. The results of toxicology tests are pending and could take weeks, according to Sheriff James Pohlmann.
The body was found just before 1 p.m. on the west side of Paris Road at Agriculture Road in Chalmette by a parish government worker. There was also no indication of foul play at the scene, the sheriff said.
The man, who carried no form of identification, hasn't been positively identified.
