Police name suspect in Treme murder

A person of interest in a New Orleans East home invasion turned into a murder suspect in another case.

Thursday, NOPD officers named Eric Youngblood as a suspect in the Aug. 5 killing of a man in Treme.

The victim was shot in the chest that day in the 700 block of North Tonti Street and died after being rushed to a hospital.

In July, investigators said they wanted to talk to Youngblood about a home invasion on Restgate Road in eastern New Orleans. He was only wanted for questioning and not a suspect.

Call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 if you can help police find Youngblood.
