A New Orleans restaurant warns its customers to be on the lookout for credit card fraud.
Mizado Cocina on Pontchartrain Blvd. says someone installed malicious malware on its point of sale system, compromising some customers card data.
A statement from the restaurant says earlier this Summer, concerned guests notified them about fraudulent charges soon after dining at the restaurant.
An investigation including the secret service pinpointed and corrected the problem in mid-July.
But, the restaurant urges customers who used cards there between May 9th and July 18th to keep a close eye on their credit and debit card accounts. Customers might also consider placing a fraud alert on their cards.
