Police: Man shot in argument over phone charger; suspect named

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Police say that a man was shot multiple times following an argument over a cell phone charger. Police have now named a suspect in the shooting.

New Orleans police are searching for Milton Newman, 32, following the shooting on April 13.

Police say Newman shot a 25-year-old victim around 4 a.m. in the 1200 block of Belleville Street. The victim was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Officers say shooting began as an argument over a cell phone charger. Newman left the residence to get his gun, returning a short time later and shooting the victim multiple times, police say.
