Hotel Montelone recipe: Strawberry Romanoff

Strawberry Romanoff (serves 5)


  • 3 cups quartered fresh strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons Grand Marnier
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar


Combine the strawberries, sour cream, vanilla extract, brown sugar and Grand Marnier in a small bowl; cover and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.

Combine the whipping cream and powdered sugar in a small bowl, and beat with a mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form.

Spoon 3/4 cup strawberry mixture into each of 5 dessert bowls. Top each serving with 1 tablespoon whipping cream mixture.
