The attorney for the Bourbon Street shooting suspect said Friday that even though his client was indicted on lesser charges, he's not satisfied.

Attorney Martin Regan said 20-year-old Trung Le is innocent and was only acting in self-defense on June 29, the night one person was killed and nine others were injured.

On Thursday, a grand jury indicted Le for manslaughter in the death of 21-year- old Brittany Thomas and the attempted murder of an unknown man.

Police are still searching for the alleged second shooter in this case.

"I cannot wait for the opportunity where a defense attorney can be present to present witnesses and to cross examine," Regan said. "Realize that at a grand jury, there is no defense attorney, no judge - just the DA. I've interviewed five or six witnesses that I intend to call at the first opportunity, and I think when a judge with a defense attorney present hears the evidence, I think we'll get rid of the rest of the charges at this point."

Le's bond is now set at $1.5 million. Regan said he'll push for another bond hearing soon in hopes of getting it reduced.
