Police will not arrest the mother or the caretaker of a young child who was found wandering near a busy Mid-City intersection Monday.
Officers said 3-year-old "JoJo" was found by a Good Samaritan near the intersection of Carrollton Avenue and Ulloa Street at around 7:30 a.m.
According to his mother, JoJo was left in the care of a 19-year-old male relative while she went to work. The relative fell asleep, and JoJo managed to unlock the door and wander out of the home.
The mother called police when she saw media reports about the boy.
