Police say that a man waved a gun at a convenience store employee after grabbing two bottles of gin off store shelves.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on August 24 at B's Express, located in the 4300 block of Louisa Street.

A store employee tells police that the suspect walked into the store and grabbed two bottles of gin. The suspect then ran out of the store and hopped into a waiting Chevy Tahoe, driven by an unknown male. Officers say the employee chased after the SUV when the suspect pointed a pistol and told him to "get back." The employee stopped and lost the suspects near Stephen Girard Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, wearing a khaki "Boone" style hat, white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (504) 822-1111.
