JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish deputies say that a 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the face while walking through the hallway of her school.
Officials say they first received reports of the stabbing just before 9 a.m. Thursday at Bonnabel High School.
The victim, identified only as a 14-year-old from Kenner, told detectives she was stabbed in the head by another student. The victim sustained a laceration to the lower part of her face and was transported to Ochsner Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers say that the victim and the suspect, a 15-year-old girl, have been having issues for quite some time. The suspect claims that she was constantly being bullied by the victim and was tired of it.
Detectives say the suspect cut the victim in the face with an eyebrow razor.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked on one count of aggravated battery.
