Sen. Landrieu to appear in court to answer residency challenge

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - Sen. Mary Landrieu has a court date Friday in Baton Rouge.

She has been subpoenaed to appear before District Court Judge Wilson Fields to answer questions about where she lives. It's part of a lawsuit about whether she truly lives in Louisiana -  a requirement for her to run for Senate.

Landrieu has a home in Washington D.C., but she says she also shares a home with her parents in New Orleans and is part-owner of that home.

Landrieu Communications Director Fabien Levy predicts a quick dismissal of the residency challenge, calling it a "tired claim."
