It's a frightening jump off of Florida's Gulf coast.

Equipped with Go-Pro cameras, three make a harrowing jump from a helicopter just off of Navarre Beach. They land safely on the sandy white beach below.

A great white encounter

A team from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution took a specially equipped REMUS "SharkCam" underwater vehicle to Guadalupe Island in Mexico to film great white sharks in the wild.

They captured more than they bargained for.

Fast-forward to 3:00 for an up-close great white encounter caught on camera.

A shrimp-like creature:

An 18-inch, massive shrimp-like creature was pulled from the waters in Fort Pierce, FL, and the pictures of it are going viral.

The FWC said on its Facebook post showing the creature that scientists think it may be a type of mantis shrimp, which is actually not related to shrimp, but is a type of crustacean. Scientists will continue to review the pictures to identify the exact species.

Need a laugh? This 'dog-spider' is the newest viral star.
