Man wanted for three armed robberies at auto parts store

New Orleans detectives are searching for a man who committed three armed robberies at an auto parts store. The incidents occurred at the Advance Auto Parts store located in the 2600 block of South Claiborne Avenue.

According to police, the first incident occurred on August 17 at 3:00 p.m. The man walked into the store and ordered an employee to give him money from the cash register and safe. The suspect took the money and ran out of the store. He was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue cargo pants.

The second incident took place on August 30, just after 2:00 p.m. The suspect entered the store and ordered two customers to the ground. He, once again took money from the register and safe, prior to running out of the store. He again was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue pants. He was also wearing a black baseball cap and black tennis shoes with neon lime green stripes.

Police say that the third incident took place on September 8, just before 5:00 p.m. The man walked into the store and ordered a customer and employee to the ground. He once again took money from the register and safe, before fleeing from the store. Similar to the first two incidents, the man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a navy blue cap with the Boston Red Sox logo on the front, khaki pants and black and white shoes.

The man was armed with a handgun and wearing blue gloves and a black or blue bandana over his face in all three robberies Police also say that he has a small to medium build.
