Suspect sought for armed robbery of N.O. East Walmart

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public' help in locating and identifying a suspect wanted for an armed robbery at the Walmart at 6000 Bullard Avenue.

According to police, around 1 a.m. on Sept. 7, a masked man entered the store after closing and forced an employee at gunpoint to the money room.

The subject kicked the locked door open and grabbed a bag containing an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.

The suspect was described as an African-American male, medium build, approximately 5'7" tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants with a light colored stripe on the side, and black tennis shoes with white soles.
