LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Deputies arrested a man and a woman on multiple drug charges and outstanding warrants. Calvin Robertson Jr. (30) and 26-year-old Jenna Toups, both of Raceland were taken into custody on Thursday.
According to police, Lafourche Drug Task Force Agents learned that Robertson and Toups were both at a house on Danos Street in Raceland. Toups had two active warrants for drug distribution and Robertson had a warrant for second degree battery.
Agents went to the house and made contact with both Toups and Robertson. Toups told agents that she had a pipe in her purse. Police located the pipe which contained a small amount suspected methamphetamine. While detectives were placing Robertson under arrest, he attempted to reach for a pair of pants. Agents found several small plastic bags containing suspected drugs in the pants pockets. Two bags of suspected cocaine, one of suspected crack cocaine, one of suspected heroin, one of suspected marijuana and $692 in cash were recovered from the pants pockets. Tests were conducted on the substances, which all tested positive for illegal drugs.
A total of $1,662 worth of drugs and cash were recovered, in addition to a 2008 Mercedes-Benz coupe that police believe was used in the sale of the drugs.
Robertson and Toups were booked in the Lafourche Parish Jail. Robertson was booked with the second degree battery warrant in addition to possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of heroin and possession of marijuana. His bond has been set to $38,500. Toups was booked for her two warrants for distribution of methamphetamine along with one count of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond has been set to $23,500.
