Search continues for missing shrimpers

Shrimpers went missing south of the Southwest Pass on Tuesday.

The Coast Guard continues its search Wednesday for the two missing shrimpers after searching 1,288 square miles for nearly 13 hours.

The Coast Guard's command center received reports from an offshore rig reporting a capsized shrimping vessel around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The reporting source stated that two individuals were rescued from the keel of the capsized boat.

The capsized vessel has been identified as the 'Christopher's Joy.'

Two crew members remain missing as of Wednesday morning.
