Hollygrove store robbed twice over the weekend

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Hollygrove convenience store Sunday. It is the fifth time the store has been robbed in the span of a few weeks, and the second time in as  many days. The previous robbery occurred Saturday morning.

The robbery occurred at the Magnolia Discount located at 9201 Airline Highway. At approximately 10:35 p.m., a man armed with a gun entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. The cashier complied and the man fled on foot toward the railroad tracks.

The robber is described as an African-American male with a brown complexion, approximately 5'10" to 6' tall, and approximately 145 to 155 pounds. He was wearing a short sleeve black T-shirt, blue stonewash jeans with holes in the right front leg, and a green shirt used to cover his face.
