Man points gun at clerk, customers during Hollygrove robbery

Surveillance video captures an armed robbery in Hollygrove as an armed suspect barges through the doors of a convenience store, pointing a gun at store employees and customers.

New Orleans police are searching for a suspect following the robbery on Sunday night. The suspect entered Magnolia Discount, located in the 9200 block of Airline Highway, around 10:35 p.m.

Video shows the man enter the store with a gun drawn. The suspect demands money from the register and flees the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers say he fled the store toward the railroad tracks.

The suspect is described as a black male; approximately 5'10" to 6' tall; and weighing between 145-155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a short sleeve black t-shirt, blue stonewash jeans with holes in the right front leg and a green shirt used to cover his face.
