New Orleans detectives are searching for a man, wanted for a simple robbery that took place in the French Quarter. The incident occurred Saturday at 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of Bourbon and Canal Streets.
Police say that a 42-year-old man was walking down the street when he was approached by the suspect who asked for money. As the man continued to walk, the suspect grabbed and struck him multiple times until he fell to the ground. Once the man fell, the suspect took his walled and ran away.
The suspect is described as a white man, 5'8" tall, weighing 150-170 pounds. He had a thin beard, mustache, black goatee and green eyes.
