The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office has identified the driver of a fuel tanker who died in a fiery crash with a wrong-way driver.
The coroner said Hatem Zarrugh, 38, died near North Claiborne and Franklin avenues last Friday morning.
The other driver, Shannon Morris, 33, faces a negligent homicide charge.
The tanker truck was carrying 8,500 gallons of fuel when Zarrugh collided with Morris' car. He lost control and hit a sign at a gas station.
New Orleans police say he was trapped by the fire, making it impossible to escape.
