LAROSE, LA (WVUE) - A Larose man was sentenced to five years in jail on child pornography charges.
Justin Doucet, age 21, was sentenced today for the receipt of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite.
Doucet was sentenced to five years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release and $8,000 in restitution to the victims, by U.S. District Judge Helen G. Berrigan.
During a search by FBI Special Agents in 2012, several pieces of his computer equipment were seized from his home and were later determined to contain child pornography.
This case was investigated as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, launched by the Department of Justice in 2006.
