The week started out fantastic, and really hasn't been too bad - if a bit warm - the last few days.
The trend for warm temperatures continues into the weekend. Today, temperatures made it up into the upper 80s, and a couple of places, including Audubon Park, made it to the 90-degree mark. We did see a few showers this afternoon with partly cloudy conditions, and while not very widespread today, rain coverage will increase.
A ridge in the mid and upper levels that helped keep rain to a minimum is breaking down. That means scattered showers will be more common going into the weekend. It shouldn't be a major problem for outdoor plans, but be aware you may need an umbrella for back-up. Check the FOX 8 weather app for updated radar.
Dense morning fog will continue in some locations, with plenty of moisture and light winds until a front gets closer toward the end of the weekend.
On Monday, a cold front approaches to help get us back to the fall feel. There is the possibility of stormy weather late Monday. We will monitor it for you here in the Fox 8 Weather Center.
