After a mostly nice Saturday with just a few heavy down pours dotting radar rain coverage decreases with the setting sun. Temperatures were quite warm again peaking in the upper 80s near 90 in most spots. We get another couple of warm and muggy days as southeasterly winds increase ahead of our next front.
Sunday will be almost hot with a little less rain coverage as Saturday's rains were helped out by not only the warm air and seabreeze, but some stronger upper level winds. That wind maximum will have moved on by Sunday afternoon so while we will see a few showers they will not be as widespread. Temperatures again start in the 70s for most with some fog around.
Changes begin on Monday as the front gets closer. More widespread and heavier rainfall will cover the area. There is the chance that some storms might become strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center places us and much of the middle of the country under a slight risk for severe storms. The front will move through quickly and allow for much drier air to move in behind the front and bring back a bit of fall feel with cooler nights.
