Pair wanted for Irish Channel armed robbery

The New Orleans Police Department is searching for two men wanted for an Irish Channel armed robbery. The incident occurred on the night of October 3, 2014 in the 700 block of Eight Street.

Police say that at 9:00 p.m., a 76-year-old man was in his home when two men broke his front door panel and made their way in. Both men, who had their faces partially covered, demanded money from the victim. The man gave money to the two suspects, who ran away.

During investigation, detectives were able to identify one of the two men as 26-year-old Jacolby Lamar. Police obtained an arrest warrant for armed robbery. The second suspect is described as a tall black man, who is in his mid-40's. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, which was used to partially cover his face.
