Tornado watch issued for SE LA and coastal MS

All of southeastern Louisiana and portions of southern Mississippi are under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. Monday.

Louisiana parishes include Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Point Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

By late this evening and tonight, storms will become more numerous and a squall line of potentially heavy to severe thunderstorms will push through. 

The timing for the line of storms looks to be around midnight. Before daybreak Tuesday, the cooler and less humid air will have arrived and will last through most of the week.
