You might call it a big show of support for breast cancer survivors.

The Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans and Omega Hospital unveiled a 25-foot wide, 300-pound bra Wednesday that was placed on the hotel for Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, also known as BRA Day.

Louisiana has one of the highest breast cancer rates in the country. Omega Hospital provides reconstructive surgery.

"We care for our patients in a very intimate setting providing the best quality care and compassion throughout a woman's breast cancer journey." Omega Hospital CEO Dr. Eric George said.

The hot pink bra was designed by artist Jonathan Bertuccelli of Studio3 inc.

It took a team of three artists from the studio more than 160 hours to complete the bra. It is made with a light metal tubing frame, coated with paper mache and high tech contact cement. It took about 15 gallons of coating to reach the hot pink color. The bra is also "green," made mostly with recyclable materials.

The bra will hang outside the Windsor Court until Oct. 20.
