Armed robber forces 61-year-old woman into Uptown home

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a woman and her daughter in an Uptown home.

On Oct. 10 at about 11:40 a.m. the 61-year-old victim was visiting her daughter's home in the 1200 block of Dufossat Street. As she approached the front door, a man walked up from behind, placed a pistol in her back and ordered her into the house. Once inside, the suspect took money and jewelry from the victims and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 to 30 years old with a medium build, 5'8” to 5'10” tall.  The suspect was last seen wearing all dark clothing with a navy blue bandana covering his face and a black baseball cap.

The Second District Persons Crime Unit is in charge of the investigation.
