(WVUE) - Incumbent Democrat Mary Landrieu leads the the U.S. race, but Republican Bill Cassidy pulls ahead in a potential runoff, according to an exclusive FOX 8 News-Raycom Media Poll.
In a race featuring all of the qualifying candidates, Landrieu polls 36 percent to 32 percent for Cassidy and 6 percent for Tea Party favorite Rob Maness. No other candidate polled more than 0.7 percent.
Cassidy surges into the lead in round two, 43% to 40%.
The poll of 605 registered voters, conducted by Multi-Quest, Int'l Oct. 14-29, has an error margin of plus-or-minus 4 percent.
