MARRERO, LA (WVUE) - The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is monitoring two people in Marrero for signs of the Ebola virus, according to Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts.
The two had just returned from a trip to Sierra Leone, Roberts said.
The two people are considered "very low risk" and have no history of exposure, according to the DHH. The two will be monitored at their home for the duration of the incubation period.
Roberts did not know the gender of either person.
In a separate case, the DHH announced Thursday it is monitoring a man for signs of the Ebola virus in the New Orleans region.
