Woman stabbed repeatedly in west bank parking lot

Police are looking for a Kenner-area man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend repeatedly in a west bank parking lot.

Jose Lagos, 39, faces attempted second-degree murder and simple battery. Police said the incident happened Monday (Oct. 27) just after 9 a.m. in the 3700 block of MacArthur Boulevard.

The 38-year-old victim told police that she and Lagos were involved in an argument that quickly became violent when Lagos began stabbing her in her stomach with a knife. The victim said a witness came to her rescue and was able to stop Lagos. Lagos fled the scene in a red, four-door Nissan Sentra, and the victim was taken to the hospital.
