BREAUX BRIDGE, LA (WVUE) - A Breaux Bridge man accused of hitting and killing two teens at high speed in his Ford truck told onlookers he was not driving.
Jeremy Abraham, 32, faces two counts of negligent homicide, but told witnesses recording him with chilling cell phone video after the crash he did not do it.
"Lady it wasn't me," Abraham said.
"Like I said, you bumped three kids, cuz," an onlooker responded.
Abraham was lying in a muddy culvert minutes after police believe he hit three teenagers walking to school around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Cornasha Flugence, 15, died at the scene. Kylee Henry, 14 died on the way to the hospital. Niya Flugence, 13, is in stable condition at a Baton Rouge hospital.
Onlookers were angry and unloaded profanity on Abraham.
State police said Abram was driving more than twice the speed limit in his red Ford truck. Wreckage and debris from the accident was scattered for blocks on Martin Street in the Lafayette suburb.
Abraham was later taken into custody and taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition. Police did not explain the extent of his injuries.
