Man dead in Warehouse District double shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A 25-year-old man is dead following a double shooting in New Orleans' Warehouse District.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Calliope and Annunciation Street.

According to the 21-year-old surviving victim, an unknown vehicle pulled alongside their SUV and opened fire. The victims drove themselves to the hospital where the 25-year-old victim died from multiple gunshot wounds, police say.

The surviving victim was shot in the chest and is being treated for his injuries.

Investigators have not released the names of those involved.
