The body of a 32-year-old woman was found shot to death inside of a burning vehicle.

The New Orleans Police Department announced on Monday that the homicide investigation of Kimberly Bowman, 32, will be led by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.

The New Orleans Police Department states that they will continue to assist in the investigation. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is now the lead agency in the investigation.
