Breaux Bridge man accused in girls' death to undergo mental evaluation

A Breaux Bridge man accused of killing two teenage girls and injuring a third will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Jeremy Abraham, 32, remains in a Lafayette hospital in guarded condition after driving into three girls as they walked to school Oct. 30.

Cornasha Flugence, 15, and Kylee Henry, 14 died. Niya Flugence, 13, is in a Baton Rouge hospital.

The Advertiser reports that Abraham will be evaluated to see if post traumatic stress disorder was a factor in the crash. Abraham is an Army veteran who served in Iraq and Kuwait.

He faces several charges once he's released from the hospital, including two counts of vehicular homicide.
