NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 58-year-old man was held at gunpoint and bashed in the head with a pipe while working on a vehicle in the Behrman neighborhood.
Henry Williams, 19, turned himself in on Thursday.
Police say that Williams and three other men approached the 47 and 58-year-old victims while working on a vehicle in the driveway. The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on October 12 in the 100 block of Pinewood Court.
Officers state that the victims were held at gunpoint while a suspect bashed the 58-year-old victim in the head with a pipe.
The suspects went through the victims' pockets taking their wallets, cell phones and keys before fleeing the scene.
Williams allegedly saw that several media outlets reporting that he was wanted for armed robbery and turned himself into police. He has been booked on one count of armed robbery with a firearm.
