NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police are investigating two shootings that occurred today in Central City.
According to police, a woman was shot while driving on Magnolia near Felicity and a teenage boy was shot while walking near the corner of Roman and Second Streets on Nov. 9.
The woman said she was driving when a bullet punched through her windshield and grazed her above the eye, according to police. The incident occurred around 1 p.m.
Police were called to Interim LSU Hospital after the 17-year-old boy came in by private conveyance. According to police, the 17-year-old had been shot in the groin after someone he did not know opened fire on him from a car just before noon.
The victim initially said he was shot at South Derbigny and Third streets, but later told police he was shot at the corner of Roman and Second streets.
