Workout Wednesday: Core and strength training

This week is all about the core and strength training. Johnny B Fit of BodyTime NOLA shows us exercises that you can try at home.

Ab core work

  • Place ball on the top of feet with toes pointed upward to balance ball
  • Meet hands and feet together and transfer ball to hands
  • Extend entire body to flat position
  • Repeat 20 times

Ab/arm shoulder/core work

  • Sit upright with feet off the ground
  • Tap ball once to each side and then press it twice towards the ceiling
  • Repeat 20 times
  • Ab arm core work
  • Sit upright with feet elevated slightly
  • Transfer ball through legs while kicking up and down

"The medicine ball slam"

  • Core shoulder work
  • Slam ball to the ground with extreme force while twisting to the side
  • Medicine ball toss
  • Core arm shoulder work
  • Stand four feet from partner
  • Toss and catch ball from the chest
  • Squeeze abs while tossing
