HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A Houma man faces multiple charges, including kidnapping and rape, following the alleged abduction of his former girlfriend.
Timothy Elliot, 46, was arrested on Saturday.
Houma Police were called to the 300 block of Eliza Street shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday. The victim, a 42-year-old woman, told police that her estranged boyfriend burglarized her residence and forced her to leave the residence with him.
Houma police say that the victim was held against her will for several hours.
As the investigation continued, police found that the victim was also allegedly sexually assaulted while being held against her will. The victim states she was eventually able to get away.
Houma Police say they interviewed witnesses who verified the victim's story.
Officers located Timothy Elliot on Howard Avenue and arrested him for home invasion, kidnapping and forcible rape. He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
