Carrollton-area homeowner faces charges after shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police said a homeowner and military veteran who shot and killed a man who was standing in his front yard Thursday will face charges.

Bradley Parvez, 31, was booked with second-degree murder after being questioned by detectives and refusing to give a statement. Parvez was questioned with his lawyer present, police said.

The shooting happened at about 10 a.m. in the 1900 block of Fern Street. No weapon was found on the victim,a d his name has not yet been released.
