NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police are looking for a person who robbed a restaurant with what appears to be a sawed-off shotgun. Investigators hope the public can help identify the gunman, who was caught on a surveillance video.
The person walked into a Subway in the 2700 block of South Claiborne Avenue on Tuesday around 8 p.m. armed with the weapon. He demanded money from the cashier, according to New Orleans police. The cashier gave the unidentified male an unknown amount of money. He fled the location eastbound on South Claiborne Avenue.
The suspect was described as a short, African-American male with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and a black bandana used to cover his face.
