A New Orleans man was arrested Tuesday on one count of indecent behavior with juveniles after investigators found evidence that he was communicating with them online in a sexually explicit way, according to Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
The arrest of Gus Taylor, 28, of West Laverne Street, was the result of a multi-agency investigation involving the Louisiana Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New Orleans Police Department, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police, and St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
“We are up against predators who actively seek to victimize innocent young children while hiding behind their computers,” Caldwell said.
Taylor was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison without incident. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.
