NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We have seen a great stretch of warmer and sunny weather, but that will change as a strong storm system moves in from the southwest.
Winds have shifted east and south increasing moisture for the storm system to work with. The threat is for an isolated tornado, gusty winds and heavy downpours, The timing looks like 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
After 11 a.m. we will salvage the rest of Sunday with sun returning, but temps will stay warm through the day approaching 80 degrees.
Temperatures won't return to the "fall like" feel until Tuesday as colder air moves in. Highs in the 60s through Thanksgiving with morning lows in the 30s and 40s, but look to remain above freezing.
